TiVI Phone is an internet telephony software. It is developed and provided by SIA Tivi, a limited liability company in Latvia.

It doesn't have any installation wizards or setup programs. The user simply downloads a file, places it in a folder of his or her choice and runs it by clicking on it whenever needed. As simple as peanuts. In the same folder, Tivi Phone will create a file containing the preferences that you set in the program and an address book file (only if you add your personal phonebook entries in Tivi Phone).

First, you need to know the other computer's IP address. This will become simpler when in the near future we implement the shared directory function, which will allow you to browse through usernames and the users' current IP addresses will be located and connected by Tivi system automatically.

This service is available for users who wish to remain anonymous. However this is a paid service because it places a greater load on our equipment.

Yes, but only in those moments when several parties are speaking at the same time. During conference calls Tivi Phone employs a silence suppression algorithm; therefore, if nobody is actually talking there is also no bandwidth consumption. We provide a cluster solution, which does the mixing of several conversations into one channel (per participant); however, this feature is available only to our paying customers.

Please make sure that there isn't any other internet telephony software activated on your computer. Also check if the computer's connection to the internet is stable.

Session initiation protocol (SIP) is the "common language" of internet telephony devices, including Tivi Phone.

In about 98 percent of cases it is caused by certain conditions in your internet connection. We try to keep an eye on the internet service providers in Latvia (and elsewhere) in order to evaluate the quality of their services, and hence, make recommendations to our customers. You can report about quality problems here.

Yes, you can. Your office computer needs to have a real IP address or a NAT connection. Also, your firewall needs to have a certain port open (normally, port 5060). If Tivi Phone doesn't seem to work, ask your systems administrator to assist you, or get in touch with us.

You can find the country list in our rate sheet. Now we can connect you to 200 countries in the world, but the list will be continuously updated.

It is as simple as deleting the three program files: the executable file, the address book and the file containing your preferences. Tivi Phone does not write anything to the Windows (TM) registry or into system folders, or any folders other than the folder it is placed in. Tivi Phone software consists of only 3 files.

We might do this in the future but there are no plans for this in the nearest six months. Our decision will be based on the popularity the software achieves.
